Reflection, Blue Lapis Light, Charlotte International Arts Festival

Blue Lapis Light was commissioned to return to the Charlotte North Carolina International Arts Festival, performing on the side of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center. I was responsible for providing direction to the local crew on how to assemble and take down the installation with our equipment shipped from Austin, as well as assisting with following spot direction. Equipment used included 6 Elation Proteus Maximus and 6 Elation Protrus Rayzors rigged on a truss arch. 20 Chauvet Color Strike M and 4 Martin Quantum Wash uplighting the building. 5 Robe BMFL in manual pan and tilt mode placed on an elevated scaffolding tower were used as the spotlights. Challenges overcome during this project included preparing and weatherizing the site for an incoming hurricane, in addition to high wind conditions earlier in the week during rehearsals.
